General Manager Structural Engineering

Proconsult has grown organically over the past 15 years and continues to do well despite a downturn in the economy. We are now looking for a General Manager in Auckland.Key Responsibilities:Tertiary engineering degree: CPEng (NZ) for low and/or medium rise structuresLikely a minimum of 10 years' experience with most of this gained in the New Zealand market.Be an excellent communicator and work well with external and internal customers alike. A first-rate command of spoken and written English.Ability to form and maintain good working relationships.An independent, decisive and quick thinker to work with some smart young engineers and support staff.Your team ethos, personable nature and strong work ethic are apparent from references.You must be able to pick up the reins of the business and the engineering design work immediately.You have a management brain.You can demonstrate flexibility and resilience in dealing with complex issues and you'll have an ability to use problem-solving methodologies.You are self-sufficient and require minimal supervision.You can demonstrate your ability to lead, organise and motivate others.This job comes with above market-rated salary and health care benefits.
