If you're looking for a new and exciting challenge, or a change of scenery leading all aspects of the Beretta operation activity alongside an successful team, then this management role is for you.What are you waiting for?On behalf of our global client Beretta, The Pond Recruitment is looking for a dynamic General Manager with at least 10 years of commercial experience for this high-profile nationwide position.You could be a Sales Director, Senior Marketer in the retail consumer goods industry or proven General Manager looking to move into a more specialised product area within the retail, outdoors and sports industry. Or you could be a previous business owner with a proven track record and a love for firearms and the greater outdoors.Either way, you will have excellent strategic, organisational and management skills - not to mention commercial acumen and the ability to motivate different customers and retail clients with some of the world's best products at your side. You'll also be hands on and action orientated as new Beretta products are released yearly.The appointed candidate will take ownership of 'all things' at the Auckland head office and be responsible for motivating the sales team, assisting the warehouse with ordering, running live budgets with the CFO and working closely on brand campaigns with the Marketing Manager.This position collaborates directly with international owners and the global power-house Beretta brand with unlimited access to world-class products, assets and information to help define and grow new and existing customer loyalty in the local market.Join the first-class Beretta team. The BreakdownWe are looking for an experienced gun to:Manage all aspects of the New Zealand operationMaintain exceptional product knowledge in relation to the manufacture, sale and marketing of premium firearms and outdoor goodsBuild and maintain great one to one relationships with our leading retailersRegularly liaise with key customers on agile ordering and supply chainLead the national sales team and present new product opportunitiesStrategise and deliver year-round marketing plansPrepare yearly budgets and financial reports for globalWork with our overseas sister companiesUnderstand market trends, economic changes and customer insightsHave and maintain good communication and managerial skillsDo you have proven experience in?Imported goods, international supply chain and distributionProduct sales performance and marketingCustomer relationshipRetail and trade marketing partnershipsFinance, pricing and budgetingMarketing ideationAre you someone who can:Lead from the front, yet be collaborative with othersBe accountable and take ownershipStay self-motivated and gets things doneAlways be organised and apply great attention to detailInnovative and has strong ideas?Is discerning and thoroughly professional?The RewardMarket salary4x4 truck allowance ($87k value + fuel card)Relocation package $5,000 (if required)Access to high profile industry, sporting and outdoor eventsClothing allowanceCar parkInternational travel (up to 4 weeks a year) Mandatory RequirementsMust own or be prepared to get a firearms licenceMust be prepared to travel abroad 4 weeks each yearTertiary qualification (preferred)Clean criminal recordIn SummaryThis is a pivotal career opportunity within Beretta NZ.
