General Manager - Specialist Mental Health and Addiction ServicesResponsible for over 1600 fte / $220 millionAbout us As the largest Mental Health service in the country, Waitemata District has the responsibility for the provision of District Mental Health services to over 650,000 people, as well as for Addiction services across metropolitan Auckland and Forensic Psychiatry services for the northern region. This role therefore has the opportunity, in partnership with senior clinical staff, to make a difference to the lives of many people. Due to Secondment, we are looking to fill this role on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
About the role As General Manager, you will work in partnership with the Head of Division Specialist Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Associate Directors of Nursing, Associate Director Allied Health and Lived Experience Lead. Jointly you will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Mental Health Services Group. Being part of a rapidly evolving and growing organisation, you will use your skills and experience to contribute to the strategic and operational development of the service along with enhancing its contribution to Waitemata's goals. You will report to the Group Director of Operations for Waitemata District.
About you Critical to success in the role will be your enthusiasm, drive and proven ability to lead and develop sustainable services within budget, as well as your track record of leadership of a dedicated team of mental health and addiction professionals.
