About the opportunity: We are now searching for a GM of Service Delivery who is a savvy people leader and business partner, capable of achieving operational excellence.
This role, reporting to the CEO, will oversee and lead the Council's Service Delivery department including Roading, Transportation, Waters, Solid Waste, Environmental Protection, Community Services, Culture, Facilities, Recreation and Sport.
These are significant portfolios to be responsible for and a great opportunity to demonstrate your capabilities in a meaningful way.
You will be responsible for: Creating a strong infrastructure operation with particular emphasis on roading, transportation and water Driving positive, strategic change towards a new future of work Working collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to develop the LTP Leading the strategic development of business continuity plans for service areas Leadership of a talented team with high delivery expectations and the creation of a collaborative culture About you: Essential to the success of this division and the outputs for the community, is your understanding and experience overseeing large civil projects.
Your background must include: Executive management of a wide range of infrastructure services Engineering degree or equivalent work experience including large civil projects (essential).
Understanding of council processes and experience of manoeuvring comfortably through complex policy, organisational and political dynamics Ability and commitment to drive large programmes of work efficiently Proven ability to lead, influence and motivate a team to foster a positive culture through times of change.
