About the role: Reporting to the CEO, the GM for Safety, People, and Sustainability will be responsible for formulating and implementing innovative health and safety practices, shaping processes for training and the development of employees, and facilitating sustainability projects.
To be successful in this position, you will continue Whitestone's safety record of zero harm, Just culture, and no fear reporting of incidents, ensuring their safety culture continues to go from strength to strength.
It is expected that the successful candidate will provide a strategic view on the three key areas of this role and lead the implementation of the strategic plans.
Key Responsibilities include: Lead and collaborate with a small team (HR, H&S, HSQTE) Utilise technology and digital platforms to propel H&S processes and initiatives Implement and lead H&S strategy and developments Ensure H&S compliance and undertake regular reviews Be responsible for training and development, formulating plans for mentorship and career advancement Oversee recruitment, inductions, and disciplinary procedures Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures Identify practical sustainability challenges and seek advice from an expert collective Shape the company to support its growth Utilise your network and Whitestone's to gain further market insight and ideas If you are a hands-on H&S, people leader with a passion to bring creativity and innovation to your role, we want to hear from you!
