The opportunityThe leadership role will lead a new department - of approximately 450 kaimahi, plus external consultants - created through the merging of the Regulatory Engineering and Resource Consents departments in Auckland Council's Regulatory Services directorate. The current operating baselines include revenue of more than $90m and operational expenditure of $70m.The General Manager is a member of the Regulatory Services Lead Team and plays a key collaborative role in shaping our regulatory purpose: 'We protect our communities, and the built and natural environment, through the fair and effective application of regulation.' The Regulatory Engineering and Resource Consents department is a major influencer and enabler for how Tamaki Makaurau grows and develops now and for future generations.
