The Role
As the General Manager - People and Capability, you will play a pivotal role in steering Booth's Logistics toward greater heights by leading our People & Capability (P&C) team. This strategic position partners closely with senior leadership to drive organisational growth through workforce strategies, talent development, performance management, and a strong commitment to employee engagement, diversity, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute People & Capability strategies that align with Booth's vision and organisational goals, covering workforce planning, performance, and succession planning.
Talent Acquisition & Retention : Lead initiatives to attract, retain, and develop top talent in collaboration with the Executive and Line Managers.
Performance & Development : Oversee goal setting, performance evaluations, career development, and succession planning.
Employee Relations & Compliance : Ensure policies comply with NZ employment laws, and handle employee relations matters.
Compensation & Benefits : Manage competitive remuneration packages and benefits in collaboration with finance.
Organisational Effectiveness & Culture : Drive employee engagement, support change management, and promote diversity and inclusion.
Metrics & Reporting : Track People & Capability metrics and present key insights to the executive leadership.
What we're looking for:
We're seeking a proactive individual who thrives on fostering innovation and embracing change, who is driven to make a difference and humble in their approach.
About You
We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic thinker with a proven track record in leading HR functions at a senior level. You will have:
A relevant tertiary qualification in HR, organisational development, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in strategic HR roles, including leading complex People & Capability initiatives.
Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills with a collaborative and resilient approach.
Strong knowledge of NZ employment laws and HR best practices.
