Every day, our staff deliver a wide range of services to our customers to ensure our District is a safe, comfortable, and easy place to live.This is a rare opportunity to join the Council's Senior Leadership Team. In this General Manager role, you'll oversee the provision of a wide range of Council services and facilities – from arts, heritage, and aquatic facilities to regulatory functions and building control. In addition to driving high levels of responsive customer service throughout the Operations group, you'll:Lead ongoing development, implementation and review of strategies relating to community and economic development.Implement plans and processes that ensure that the Gore District is seen as an area worth investing in and is easy to do business with.Ensure our facilities and services meet resident and visitor needs now and into the future.Contribute to organisation-wide strategy and decision making, driving a collaborative and customer-centric organisational culture.You'll have significant relevant leadership experience, including leading teams and managing large budgets. You'll be engaging, empathetic, and innovative. You'll understand the complexities and expectations of local government and be able to deliver high-quality results within an often constrained environment.This is a full-time position, based in Gore.
