The Role:
Reporting to the Board, this senior leadership position will provide commercial leadership to our school community through:
Strategic financial management and business planning
Leadership of budget development and monitoring
Performance and financial reporting to senior leadership and Board
Oversight of regulatory and legal compliance, including health and safety
Management of procurement and contract negotiations
Leadership of property development and maintenance programmes
Management of school services including catering and facilities hire
Team leadership of finance administration, payroll and HR professionals
Development of commercial opportunities to enhance school revenue
Implementation of cost efficiency initiatives
Risk management and compliance oversight
Develop and organize administrative systems
Focus on IT processes like enrolment and financial systems; experience or understanding in implementing and managing these systems is preferred
The Person:
We're looking for the following attributes, in our ideal candidate:
Significant experience in a senior leadership role, ideally in business/commercial management, property development or general management
Tertiary qualification - CAANZ membership would be an advantage
Proven ability to effectively lead and develop a team
Strong commercial acumen and business strategy skills
Innovative and strategic thinking with a willingness to take a "hands on" approach
Exceptional planning and organizational skills
High attention to detail in delivery of quality support and advice
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in managing stakeholder relationships
Empathy for Anglican special character education
Understanding of the education sector (desirable)
