Te turanga / About the role This fixed-term, part-time position offers 25 hours per week and is based in Hamilton, with the flexibility to work remotely.
As our new leader, you will play a crucial role in engaging with our Authorised User Organisations and stakeholders to revitalise and deepen our relationships.
Your responsibilities will include strategic planning, managing operations, and leading our small, dedicated team towards achieving our vision of robust, data-driven support for our iwi and Maori communities.
A key mandate of this role is to seek and secure funding for our ongoing work, with the potential for this position to become permanent based on the successful achievement of these objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and foster meaningful engagements with Maori communities and government entities.
Drive our strategic direction, focusing on sustainable relationships and technological advancement.
Oversee financial management, staff recruitment, and the daily operations of our organisation.
Host and coordinate regional wananga, inviting dialogue and collaboration across our nine regions.
He korero mou ake / About you Proven experience in leadership within a not-for-profit or community-focused organisation.
Strong grounding in tikanga and Te Ao Maori Skilled in managing IT infrastructure and understanding of Maori data sovereignty principles.
Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage authentically and consult effectively.
