About the position: The General Manager will be responsible for the overall operations across the Kaiaponi Group (Kaiaponi Farms, Orchards & Post-Harvest). Reporting directly to the Board, the General Manager will formulate strategic plans for the organisations, ensuring operational effectiveness. Key responsibilities include achieving strategic goals in financial performance, compliance, health and safety standards, client satisfaction, and fostering a supportive work environment. Responsibilities will include: Budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight to ensure profitability and cost-efficiency Maintaining strong lines of communication and working collaboratively with The Board Keep a finger on the pulse – maintain an understanding of local, national and international markets Lead by example and promote positive, cohesive leadership to inspire and empower the team Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations and industry standards Manage compliance with health and safety legislation and organisation policies and procedures Foster and support constructive relationships with key stakeholders Drive and deliver revenue generation to support sustainability and growth of the organisation Who are we looking for? An accomplished Manager with over 5 years of experience in a comparable role, possessing deep expertise in the horticulture industry; ideally with a background in fruit sales. A collaborative leader who values team input, considers diverse perspectives, and communicates effectively with clarity and precision.
