As a private family-owned business operating on both a national and international scale, this growing business offers the best of both environments with the heart of a small business and the innovation and technology of a global player.About the position:The General Manager will be responsible for the overall operations across the Kaiaponi Group (Kaiaponi Farms, Orchards & Post-Harvest). Reporting directly to the Board, the General Manager will formulate strategic plans for the organisations, ensuring operational effectiveness. Key responsibilities include achieving strategic goals in financial performance, compliance, health and safety standards, client satisfaction, and fostering a supportive work environment.Responsibilities will include:Budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight to ensure profitability and cost-efficiencyMaintaining strong lines of communication and working collaboratively with The BoardKeep a finger on the pulse – maintain an understanding of local, national and international marketsLead by example and promote positive, cohesive leadership to inspire and empower the teamEnsure adherence to relevant laws, regulations and industry standardsManage compliance with health and safety legislation and organisation policies and proceduresFoster and support constructive relationships with key stakeholdersDrive and deliver revenue generation to support sustainability and growth of the organisationWho are we looking for?An accomplished Manager with over 5 years of experience in a comparable role, possessing deep expertise in the horticulture industry; ideally with a background in fruit sales.
