Our current highly-regarded GM is remaining with MPBI on the Board of Directors, and we are all very excited to welcome in another inspirational leader to work closely with the CEO, manage our people at an operational level, and continue to drive productivity and performance. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with strategic goals. Develop and implement strategies to drive continuous improvement. People Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a positive work environment aligned with Maori values. Financial Management: Oversee budget management and financial reporting, ensuring sound decision-making and resource allocation. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with shareholders, iwi, government, and community partners. Project Management: Lead the execution of key projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Cultural Competency: Uphold and promote Maori tikanga (customs) and values across all organisational activities. Qualifications and Experience Required: Proven experience in a senior management or general management role, ideally within Maori or community-focused organisations. Strong leadership skills with a track record of building collaborative and high-performing teams. Demonstrated expertise in operational management, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement. Understanding of Tikanga Maori and te reo Maori, or a commitment to learning and integrating these into daily practice. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
