Safety has always been our priority and, as we have grown, we have trained and certified new team members across NZ to develop our legacy.About the role:Due to a valued team member stepping down from this role, we have the exciting opportunity for a General Manager to join our team based in Grey Lynn, Auckland.As our General Manager, you will oversee and manage the operational area of our company and be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, achieving budgeted profit margins, and projecting a positive company image. The role requires strong leadership and management skills to ensure continued growth and success.Your responsibilities include:Processing sales and account sales according to the invoice and ordering process.Collaborating with other staff to ensure smooth store operations with minimal disruption to customers.Providing advice and guidance on product selection, explaining use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers as well as assisting shoppers in finding the goods and products they are looking for and recommending alternative products.Sorting/monitoring stock.General cleaning and dusting inside and outside of the store.Ensuring each department contributes to the agreed budgeted profits and compiling and agreeing on achievable budgets based on industry knowledge.Providing effective leadership and professional man-management to subordinates.Conducting regular, meaningful performance appraisals with open communication.Following up on actions and developmental plans identified in performance appraisals.Attending company social and promotional functions and maintaining a high profile with clients and staying updated on industry trends and making suggestions for implementation.As the successful candidate, you will have:2+ years experience in the relevant industry.Experience in a busy, fast-paced environment.Strong ability to delegate responsibility.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail, flexibility, and reliability.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
