Are you a proven commercial leader that thrives when spearheading transformative infrastructure funding and finance deals?Crown Infrastructure Partners (CIP), soon to operate as National Infrastructure, are looking for a General Manager – Commercial to lead the end-to-end commercial transaction process, attracting and structuring private financing deals to fund essential infrastructure projects.In this role, you'll lead high-impact private funding and finance partnerships to address the nation's most critical infrastructure needs, making a lasting difference for communities across Aotearoa.About Us:Formed in 2009, CIP successfully rolled out the Ultra-Fast Broadband (UFB) programme to 87% of the population, marking it as the largest co-funded public-private infrastructure initiative in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our role has expanded to include partnering with the private sector, central and local government, NGOs, and mana whenua to fund, finance, and deliver infrastructure, including connectivity, 3 waters, transport, flood protection, community facilities, and social infrastructure.About the Role:As the General Manager - Commercial, you will provide deft leadership in originating, developing, and managing major infrastructure transactions using private capital. Reporting to the Deputy CEO - Commercial, you'll lead complex negotiations, foster partnerships with local and central government agencies, and engage with private investors. Your work will directly contribute to delivering high-quality, essential infrastructure to communities across New Zealand.About You:You are a seasoned professional with at least 10 years of commercial experience, ideally with a strong background in structuring project finance to fund infrastructure. Your expertise in managing senior stakeholder relationships and negotiating high-impact commercial funding transactions is second to none.You bring strong leadership skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach, and you thrive in complex, high-stakes environments.
