In this varied General Instructor (Distribution) role, you will be working with and providing direct supervision and practical training to the tane in our care within the prison environment. You will help them gain new skills and qualifications, and learn the basic skills related to employment. The goal is to improve their chances of finding real jobs upon release.
You will provide opportunities for our people to achieve NZQA qualifications linked to the ServiceIQ. In providing a platform of good working habits to take forward to the future, you will further support rehabilitation and reintegration practices.

A good understanding of the retail distribution industry.A good understanding of SAP and data entry is beneficial but not essential.Exceptional communication skills.Warehousing experience is beneficial but not essential.Ability to motivate and develop people within a team environment.Current and full New Zealand or international driver licence (NB. You must obtain a full NZ Driver Licence before an offer of employment can be formally made to you)Class 2 Driver Licence is beneficial but not essential.Forklift licence or endorsement is beneficial but not essential.Ability to assess a candidate's performance and having NZQA U/S 4098 is beneficial but not essential.Legal right to work full-time in New Zealand (ideally for a minimum of no less than 24 months)Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and have the declaring of any convictions and/or conflicts of interest approved by us in accordance with our Corrections delegations policy.The salary range for this role is $70,014 - $87,691. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
Shifts / Operating Hours The distribution team will operate Monday through Friday for a standard 40-hour workweek. All industry instructors will work 8-hour shifts, with operations running between 0700 to 1700.
