We are a fun, local, Kiwi brand that started on Waiheke Island.
Our secret production facility is based in Eden Terrace, we have a committed, energetic team of gelato and sorbet makers who produce award winning product that delight our customers throughout Auckland.
We have 5 stores and our team in the production kitchen are the heroes producing for these stores.
Role We're getting busier, and as such need some more help in the kitchen!
We are on the hunt for a passionate, hard-working pastry chef, with a commitment to high standards, who has an interest in learning and developing skills in the kitchen.
The production team are committed to sharing knowledge and we nurture personal growth from within the business.
You will be assisting our senior pastry chef's, helping them prepare recipes and stock rotate.
Your main responsibilities include: Following instructions from Senior Pastry chefs Following detailed recipes and procedures.
Keeping on top of ordering and stock up ingredients to set par levels.
Correct handling, preparation, and storage of ingredients.
Labelling, packaging, stocktaking of products.
The preparation and creation of Gelato, sorbet and pastry (inclusions) Processing of Gelato, sorbets and pastry; monitoring of equipment, temperatures, allergy and production schedules Using Carpigiani Gelato Machines – Can be taught on the job Skills and experience You will be an efficient worker, in a busy team environment, so great communication skills will give you instant bonus points.
