The role of the RMO in the gastroenterology department is integral to ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality medical care within the hospital as well as to expose basic trainees to direct care of patients with gastrointestinal (GI) and liver pathologies.
This contributes significantly to their learning and exposure to this field enabling local doctors to pursue this field of training and contribute to the local community.
