Job Description About the Role Based at the Tirohia Landfill in Paeroa this position is to ensure a continuous supply of good quality landfill gas for power generation and odour control by balancing the gas well field, and by eliminating the ingress of air into the landfill. Key responsibilities of the position will include: Installing and maintaining gas field pipework and associated components Monitoring, recording and adjusting gas field settings Carrying out other specialist monitoring and reporting Assist with the smooth running of Generation plant.
Ensure Generators are maintained and assist with rebuilding of engines Operating various instrumentation, plant and specialist equipment – full training will be provided Reporting any faults found with equipment to management Being available for on-call duties when require There will also be a requirement to assist with power generation plant servicing and maintenance from time to time Qualifications About you: Preferably relevant experience in using gas monitoring or similar equipment and operating treatment or processing plants Preferably some mechanical type of background Plastic pipe welding and pipe experience A valid NZ full Driver's Licence Ability to work with computerised systems Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team A strong health and safety focus This is a great opportunity to start a career and with ongoing training sky's the limit!
