This role will have you working throughout the city's open spaces, ornamental parks, and street gardens.You will be responsible for:maintaining planting and garden areas to a high standardassisting with annual bedding changeoversmaintaining the gardens and shrubbery in parks around our cityPorirua City is a living wage accredited employer, and the starting hourly rate for this is from $27.83.All about youIt would be fabulous if you have a passion for horticulture and have completed study to attain level 4 Trade Certification or have on-the-job experience.You'll need to show us that you:have experience and interest in planting and maintaining ornamental gardens, this could be at entry level or a more experienced levelhave a clean driver's licence (class 2 licence would be a bonus)have a growsafe qualification, or similarare self-motivated and able to work well as part of a teamhave knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to the jobWhat you need to do nowCome and join our proud and dedicated Parks team and be part of our welcoming and engaging environment.
