About the roleReporting to the Team Manager and working closely with other team members, you will be responsible for general garden maintenance across multiple sites in Queenstown. Your duties will include planting, weeding, pruning, and vegetation control, as well as maintaining bedding displays, hanging baskets, roses, borders, and shrubbery. You'll ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standards while prioritising safety for the public, your team, and yourself.
Who we are looking forIdeally, we're looking for someone with practical experience in gardening or horticulture, but this isn't a must. What's most important is having a strong work ethic, a passion for working outdoors, and a hands-on attitude. Other key qualities include:
A current, full driver's licence with the ability to drive a manualAbility to work both independently and in a team, with a natural willingness to help teammatesKnowledge of health and safety practices relevant to the roleStrong public relations skills, as you may interact with the public from time to timePhysically fit and able to complete all tasks efficientlyWhat we can offer youAs part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work with other professionals, gain further knowledge and experience, and develop your career in horticulture.
