Gardener

Location: Christchurch & Wellington (You will be required to work at both locations) Company: Go Home Investment Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Gardener to join our team.
This role involves working on-site in both Wellington and Christchurch, contributing to the beautification and maintenance of gardens associated with our construction projects.
You will also be involved in garden maintenance and renovation tasks for various clients.
Key Responsibilities: Planting & Cultivating: Prepare seedbeds, grow and plant trees, bushes, hedges, flowers, and bulbs.
Lawn Care: Prepare lawn areas by spreading topsoil, planting grass, and laying instant turf.
Maintain these areas through regular weeding, trimming, fertilising, watering, and mowing.
Pruning & Tree Care: Prune trees and hedges, install plant support, assess tree health, and conduct necessary treatments.
Landscape Construction: Assist in the planning, selection of materials, and scheduling of landscape construction projects.
Install hardscape and softscape structures such as gravel paths, paved areas, walls, fences, pergolas, ponds, and garden furniture.
Garden Maintenance: Perform regular garden maintenance tasks, including spraying and dusting plants to control insects and diseases, and felling diseased trees.
Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of experience in gardening, landscaping, or as a nursery person, or an NZ Register Level 4 qualification in horticulture or a related field.
Familiarity with a variety of plants, trees, and gardening techniques.
Ability to use gardening tools and equipment, including chainsaws.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces.
