An on-site commercial nursery helps support a multi-decade native reforestation project.About the RoleWe are looking for someone with a passion for gardening to join our Grounds Maintenance Team. The role would suit someone with broad horticulture skills looking for full-time employment or with specialist skills looking for part-time work. The role can be tailored to suit the right candidate with flexibility around the hours and days worked. The ideal candidate will have core skills and work experience in one or more of the following horticulture disciplines.Tending to and growing cut flowers to be used for floral displays in our Residences.Propagating flowers in our plant nursery as well as tending to our various flower and foliage gardens.Being a team player is important as the role involves liaising with the Residence and Landscape Teams, the Nursery Manager, and the Landscape Architect. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for gardening and growing quality flower produce.Growing seasonal produce for our chef and guests to enjoy.The role requires good organization and planning skills to oversee the creation of planting plans and managing propagation/production schedules to ensure good supply from our plant nursery.Good horticulture skills are required with experience in tending to plants to ensure healthy plants and quality produce.OrchardistGrowing various fruit, berries, and nuts for The Landing Chef and guests to pick and enjoy.Horticulture skills and experience are required to ensure the health and good management of numerous small orchards, each containing a variety of fruiting trees.Good planning and organizational skills are required for this role.Pot PlantsOur pot plant arrangements are a key feature of the outdoor living spaces at The Residences.Styling and tending to our numerous pot plants requires an eye for design and good plant knowledge. Good horticulture skills are required in selecting the right plant for the right location and to ensure they are looking at their best.Good organizational skills are important to ensure stock plants can be developed, managed, and maintained in the plant nursery and rotated with display plants as required.Bee KeepingExperience with beekeeping would be an advantage.
