ROLE OVERVIEW:
As a Fundraising Manager at Youthmix, you will play a pivotal role in driving our fundraising initiatives, ensuring we have the resources needed to continue empowering youth across New Zealand and beyond. Your expertise in building partnerships, developing strategies, and engaging with donors will be essential in helping us reach our goals. This role offers the flexibility to innovate and take charge of campaigns, events, and donor relationships to maximise funding opportunities for our impactful programmes.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Create and execute innovative plans to meet our fundraising targets, with a focus on long-term sustainability.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, while identifying and approaching potential new supporters.
Plan, manage, and execute events that align with Youthmix's mission and attract donor engagement.
Research and apply for relevant grants and funding opportunities, preparing compelling applications to maximise success rates.
Work closely with our teams to ensure a cohesive approach to fundraising efforts.
Track fundraising performance, prepare reports, and analyse results to refine strategies and ensure continual improvement.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Proven track record in fundraising, donor relations and grant writing, ideally in the non-profit or community sector.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to create compelling proposals and engage effectively with donors.
Ability to foster relationships with donors, corporate partners, and stakeholders.
Excellent planning and time management skills to juggle multiple initiatives and deadlines effectively.
A strategic thinker who can develop fresh ideas to engage donors and generate revenue.

TIME COMMITMENT:
The team holds a 1-hour virtual catch-up meeting every four weeks on a Monday, from 6-7pm. This meeting is designed for the team to connect, collaborate, and plan upcoming work. Outside of this scheduled meeting, your involvement is highly flexible, allowing you to choose how much time you dedicate to assisting the organisation. We have ongoing business-as-usual tasks that require regular support, as well as non-urgent project work that can be completed at your convenience.
