Full Time Application Closes 09 Sep 2024 Otago - Dunedin City Driver/Sales Worker We are currently seeking an experienced driver to assist with the pick-up of donations and delivery of furniture, along with the weekly schedule of shop-to-shop stock transfers.
Testing of electrical goods for sale (electrical testing training provided).
As this is a new business, initially we will be building awareness of our free donation pick up service, therefore there will also be a requirement to support our Dunedin Central Op Shop with customer service and store operations.Location:The truck base is SPCA Dunedin Centre, 1 Torridon Street Opoho, DunedinOp Shop base is Dunedin Central, 471 Princes St, DunedinHours: Tuesday to Saturday, 40 hours per weekOur ideal Candidate will have:A full and current, clean New Zealand drivers license, class 1 (motor vehicle) and confidence in operating and taking care of basic maintenance of a small truck ( manual and auto).Physically fit and capable of regularly lifting cartons and furniture -this is a daily part of the role.Resilient, positive and people orientated with the ability to relate to team members, customers and donors from diverse backgrounds.Self –managing, able to keep track and reprioritise the schedule/workload when requiredThe ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.A clear communicator, verbally, written and comfortable using retail computer technology.Have the right to work in New Zealand.
