Morrow Furniture is a well-established New Zealand owned business having started in 1981 (over 43 years ago) with our factory/workshop based in Mangere, South Auckland. Our company does a variety of high-quality bespoke projects and makes mid to high end cabinetry, from kitchens, wardrobe, office fit outs, vanities to custom built furniture, both for residential and commercial properties. We are currently a team of 12, enjoying a casual yet hard working environment. We have regular team snacks/BBQ's, have a staff games room with pool table, ping pong, darts and company/staff milestones are celebrated. We have a modern sign written fleet of quality trucks, vans and cars. To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with the following attributes: Skilled Cabinet Maker / Journeyman with well-established cabinet making skills.Friendly and well presented.Motivated and organized.Able to work flexible working hours if required (Generally Mon to Fri 7.30am - 4.30pm)Able to read and interpret plans and drawingsBe reliable and punctualHold a full or restricted driver's licenceBe a NZ Citizen or Resident or Work Visa HolderBe proficient in English to read and work from plans accuratelyBe able to work in a teamHave a good work ethic and 'can do' attitudeThe successful candidate will have a proven work history in this field, have a great work ethic with the ability to complete a range of tasks set for them. A complete knowledge of the trade is required, having experience with veneers and solids, laminates, ply's etc. An eye for detail is a must. An average working week is between 42-50 hrs Monday to Friday, with overtime on Saturday on the odd occasion. We also have a close down period over the Christmas and New Year period , so you can spend quality time with family and friends. Parking is available onsite and from a travel perspective the factory is situated only 5 minutes from both the North Western and South motorways.
