Crowne Plaza Queenstown is located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu in the heart of New Zealand's South Island. Our 4.5 star hotel is looking for a Front Office Manager to join our friendly and professional team.Your day-to-dayAs Front Office Manager, you will be required to complete shifts as a Duty Manager and monitor the sale & supply of alcohol, manage all Front Office & Concierge Operations and team members, manage crisis situations/hotel evacuations, and provide excellent leadership to your team, including training & coaching as required.This role has a large amount of responsibility. This position will suit someone who thrives in busy situations, can adapt to the moment, problem-solve by thinking of creative solutions, and build strong relationships with the guests and wider hotel team.This is a full-time permanent role of 40 hours per week.What You'll NeedAbility to effectively train, allocate duties, supervise, and lead a teamStrong multi-tasking skills and the ability to correctly prioritise tasks & guest requirementsStrong knowledge of Queenstown to book tours, transportation, and activities for guestsAbility to work 40 hours per week over an array of days and shift times including night shifts, public holidays, and weekendsPrior experience and ability to remain calm in crisis situations to ensure the safety of all guests and staff membersOversee, make, and manage hotel bookings and reservationsFlexibility, ability & willingness to work in other departments to meet business needs including Conferencing, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and MaintenancePrevious extensive hotel experience is essentialVast knowledge of OPERA - PMS, OXI balancing, Configuration, and UtilitiesKnowledge of payroll systems and ability to roster and approve shifts for the teamManage a budget when rostering staff and ordering various items such as Guest SuppliesAssess guest reviews and complaints and continually improve our service to enhance our guests' stayWork with all other departments (Conferencing, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Kitchen, Maintenance) and coordinate tasks/requests as required to maximise guest experienceComprehensive knowledge of IHG One Rewards program will be held in high regardCertifications/Qualifications:Level 2 First Aid Certificate will be held in high regardBachelor's degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management/Business Administration is preferred but not essentialA valid Managers Certificate & LCQA valid Driver's Licence and ability to drive an array of vehiclesWhat We OfferAn opportunity to kick-start your career adventure with a company that can take you around the world!Free meals whilst on shiftDo you see yourself as a Front Office Manager?
