FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER, full time 30-40hrs PWLooking for a change of scene, or pace, or the next step in your hospo career?Little River Inn has been nominated as one of NZ's TOP 50 Gastropubs in 2024, and we're just hitting our groove having been open just over 18 months.Little River is a wonderfully artsy and charming town, just 45 mins from Christchurch. With beautiful beaches and fabulous forest walks close by, it's hard not to fall in love with.Your role would include:Overseeing day to day operational management of the Inn's FOH, including bookings, restaurant and event set up and closeLiaising with event planning customers (parties, weddings, birthdays, etc)Effective daily communication with Kitchen & liaising with ManagementStaff rostering, training, motivation, creating a team environmentManagement of stock & orderingProvide skilled, efficient and knowledgeable bartending, beer and wine service when requiredThis is a senior position, and requires you to have:A Duty Managers LicencePrior experienceExcellent communication skills, and personal presentationA warm, friendly and positive persona to comfortably engage with guestsA willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and work across areas as neededPeople are loving us, and what we do… here's what some of our guests have had to say:***** Lovely service, setting, and drinks too – we'll definitely be back! ***** I booked in for a large group and we could not have been more impressed with the food and the service.
