Freshwater Project Lead

Details of the offer

A tatou korero - Our story
Te Tawharau o Te Whakatohea (TToTW) is situated in Opotiki, a coastal town in the sunny Bay of Plenty. Previously to our recent settlement process in 2024, Te Tawharau o Te Whakatohea was known as The Whakatohea Maori Trust Board, established in 1952. The Trust's primary role is to administer the assets of the trust on behalf of its beneficiaries in accordance with the Maori Trust Board Act 1955.
The Trust's long-term vision, "Ko te kai hoki i Waiaua - to be the food bowl that feeds the world," confirms the Trust's entrepreneurial spirit, grounded in matauranga (knowledge), which weaves together our future strategic aspirations of being well educated, healthy, socially connected, economically and commercially sound, and living in a thriving environment.
With the recent changes comes a period of growth, as we see the return of significant assets and a newly appointed Board that will continue to support the numerous developments currently underway and pave the way for growth into the future. It is an exciting time to be a part of our continued success story.
