Freshwater Ecologist

We need an experienced Freshwater Ecologist to help support and grow our small ecology company.
The successful candidate will have around 5–10 years' experience doing a range of field and office-based work.
You will be interacting directly with clients and managing projects, while also contributing your technical expertise to other Instream projects.
Absolute must-haves include: A pro-active communicator who listens and speaks up when necessary.
You can analyse data and write great reports.
You are handy in the field, and can do anything from off-road driving to electric fishing.
What does Instream do?
We provide ecology and water quality consulting services to a range of clients from the private and public sector.
One day we're handling tuna in the Otakaro and the next we're coordinating waterway restoration between a property developer and local government.
This project diversity keeps our advice balanced and our work varied and interesting.
