Fresh Connection specialises in bringing together the food service industry and quality fresh produce straight from the growers. We're 'the little big guys' - large enough to reliably supply and distribute across New Zealand, yet small enough to be flexible and nimble in delivering 'hands on' service and innovative custom solutions. We are passionate produce specialists who have been around for more than 25 years.
We are looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver to care for and service customers through the Mid and Upper North Island, including the Auckland region.
Shift days: Monday to Saturday
Shift Hours: Variable depending on which delivery run you are rostered on. Start time range from 1am-4am until finish times between 10am-12pm.
Role & Responsibilities:
Drive Class 1 vehicles to deliver produce on various runs ranging from Upper North Island down to Taupo and surrounding areas in Auckland in a safe and timely manner.
Load, unload, and secure cargo as necessary, following safety protocols.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness.
Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle as needed.
Communicate effectively with the operations team for any changes or issues during transportation.
Adhere to delivery schedules and routes.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle activities in the log book.
Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.

Requirements:
A New Zealand full clean Class 1 Driving Licence (must) and forklift licence will be advantageous.
Good knowledge of Auckland is a must and other areas within the North Island would be advantageous.
Good conversational English for effective communication – read, write and speak.

Ability to work unsupervised.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting to deliver our products.
