Freight Planner / Class 5 Transport Professional

The Role:We are currently on the lookout for a someone to fill a unique 'hands on' role in our Gisborne Branch. We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced truck driver who will co-ordinate with our customers and self-dispatch to schedule your own pick-ups and deliveries. You'll be confident in loading/unloading trucks and jump in to support the team where you can. If you're looking for a role where you can take ownership of your run management and enjoy the freedom of working independently, this is the perfect opportunity for you!Work hours will typically be 7.00am to 5.00pm, with some flexibility required including the occasional Saturday. If you're a reliable team player and have a 'can do, will do' attitude, we'd love to hear from you.What you can offer us:Forklift experience and confidence in loading/unloading trucks and containers.Your full NZ Class 4 or 5 licence is essential.Experience in using ICOS and/or other TMS systems.Strong written and verbal communications skills.Consistent, high quality, customer focused approach in all interactions.Collaborative and effective in establishing long-term relationships and networks.Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy and numeracy skills.Microsoft Office skills specifically in Excel and Outlook.Highly competent in navigating and maintaining information in digital systems.Strong work ethic, with exemplary time management and organisational skills.Commitment to health and safety.Fluent in English, with good communication skills.Must be drug-free, fit and healthy and be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug test.What we can offer you:Opportunities to progress within a national logistics company.Fantastic team to be a part of.About Us:At Booth's Logistics, our strength is in our people.
