You will be an important part of our team ensuring the timely, efficient, and safe handling of freight in order for the company to achieve their target delivery goals, on time and damage-free. The right candidate will be a friendly, energetic, and positive team player with a customer-focused attitude and a reliable work ethic.Key responsibilities include:Load and unload all freight safely and securely, for both road and rail unitsAchieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficientlyEnsure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient mannerMaintain good working relationshipsCommunicate effectively within a team environmentYour Skills - o pukengaWe are looking for a team player with prior forklift experience to join our team in Christchurch. You will be an effective communicator who will not hesitate to assist other members of your team with their daily tasks while maintaining an awareness of safety for yourself and others.Additionally, you will have:OSH approved forklift certificatePrior long fork experienceA strong health and safety focusAn understanding of dangerous goods laws (preferred but not essential)Prior work experience in the freight/logistics industry (preferred but not essential)Ensuring we do our part to preserve Aotearoa's environment, we are committed to stay on track with our carbon reduction goals for 2030.
