About the role:As a Freight and Logistics Coordinator, you will work closely with the Purchasing Manager. Your key focuses will be to develop relationships with suppliers, liase efficiently between them and internal departments, process orders and verify invoices, all whilst maintaining accurate and precise records. This busy, hands-on role requires a high degree of flexibility in both tasks and hours of work. To be successful, you will need a strong work ethic, excellent communication and organisational skills. Above all, you will have the ability to multi-task and juggle priorities, work well within a team but also be able to work independently. Key Responsibilities: handling incoming goods and distributing effectively, recording temperatures of incoming perishable goods, verifying receipt of goods, resolving deliveries in error with suppliers, ensuring efficient stock turnover, maintaining accurate records for all stored items and the safe, secure and orderly upkeep of storage area, assisting in the design and coordination of the operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing and shipping goods. You will have/be: 1+ years supervisory experience, physically fit to handle heavy objects on a regular basis and able to stand for long periods, previous experience with inventory management systems, strong administrative, computer and organisation skills, hospitality industry knowledge is preferred.
