This is a rare opportunity to work with some of New Zealand's best emerging talent, be part of New Zealand's largest union and contribute to Auckland Rugby's rich and proud heritage.
Auckland Rugby are searching for a Head Coach to lead the Auckland Storm in the Women's National Provincial Competition (Farah Palmer Cup). The Head Coach position will be responsible and accountable for creating a quality performance environment that allows all within it to thrive and contribute. Through detailed campaign planning, building of strong trusted relationships and a focus on the development of a talented playing group, this is a critical role to support the ongoing success of the Auckland Storm. This role will also support alignment, consistency and connection across the Auckland Rugby Union women's community, pathway and high-performance programmes/teams with the aim of developing and retaining quality rugby talent.
To be successful within this role, it will require positive and proactive leadership as well as the need to build strong relationships with Auckland Rugby staff, players and the wider Auckland Rugby community.

To be Head Coach of Auckland Rugby's premier women's team you will have proven experience leading High Performing Rugby teams and preferably, experience coaching females. You will have demonstrated a track record for developing high performance team cultures and people (coaches and players).
You will possess outstanding communication skills and have proven your ability to build strong, mutually-beneficial relationships with players, staff and other key stakeholders across the Auckland Rugby community.
You will have strong and proven leadership skills with the ability, knowledge and experience to inspire optimal performance and create strong connection in a high-pressure, high-profile environment such as the Farah Palmer Cup.
We are looking for candidates who possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude, are good team players with a healthy sense of humour.
The hours required will fluctuate throughout the year with the busiest period being July to October. While the Farah Palmer Cup is an amateur competition, this is a paid contractor role.
