Connell has projects across the regions of Waikato, Auckland, Taranaki, and Wellington and you may be required to travel as part of your work to meet the needs of the business.
We are looking for up to 10 Formwork Carpenters.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Formwork Carpenter, you'll be working alongside our team on projects, producing high quality foundation pads and structures.
You will have:
3 years of verifiable, relevant work experience. Experience in mainstream formwork carpentry would be preferred.
A relevant trade / carpentry qualification at NZQF Level 4 or above
A commitment to health and safety
Job duties include:
Constructing formwork, falsework and other timber structures
Operating items of small plant and machinery on which you have been deemed competent
Manual labour including lifting, carrying and shovelling
Assisting all other trades on site to allow tasks to be completed as efficiently as possible
Spotting plant and machinery
Placing concrete
Collecting and/or delivering materials
Site cleaning duties and general housekeeping
This is a 'hands on role', where you'll be able to utilise your experience from across the building industry and other related projects. Ordinary days of work are Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:00am and 5:30pm. Minimum guaranteed hours are 40 hours per week.
