Forklift Technician

Forklift Service Technician Are you looking for an opportunity to relocate to Tauranga and join a dynamic team as a Skilled Service Technician? We would like to talk to you today if you have experience as a forklift mobile mechanic/service technician across petrol/LPG, diesel, and battery electric machines, and also a large forklift rental fleet. Our client in Tauranga requires your versatile mobile forklift technical skills to work on small and large IC and electric machines. A people-minded person who communicates well with others at every level and has a positive attitude towards work. Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

Duties & Responsibilities:Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in forklifts3 years minimum mechanical experienceDismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components, and checking parts.Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts, reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed, together with the assistance of computersTroubleshooting forklift machinery problems which includes brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems, detecting imperfections, potential problems, safety issues, and/or malfunctions.Replacing broken and defective parts from stock parts and/or ordering replacement parts for major repairs.Reassembling forklift truck engines and making all necessary adjustments for effective and safe operation.Positive attitude towards Health and Safety Practices at all times.Reporting and record-keeping on all work completed.
