Our client is a well-established FMCG manufacturer based in East Auckland which has been providing a range of natural cleaning products to New Zealand for over 50 years.
Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking an experienced dispatch operator to assist with distributing of natural cleaning products.
This role is 20% forklift operation and 80% repetitive manual handling of cartons between 10-25Kgs.
The role involves: Working with the production and warehouse teams to transfer finished product from production through to storage or dispatch.Load and unload trucks using forklift.Working at a fast pace to work at the end of the packaging line to pack products into cartons and labelling ready to be passed on to dispatch in line with daily KPI's and Targets.Complete basic quality checks on products and labelling, specifically the correct batch numbers, expiry dates and labelling, and completing documentation paperwork and entering data into the computer.Ensure health and safety, and quality standards are met throughout the production process.About you: The ideal candidate will have experience as a forklift operator, ideally in a strict hygiene environment, ideally food manufacturing or FMCG role (packing on automated high-speed lines).
You will also have:
Able to work at a consistent pace while manually handling products of between 10 – 25 Kgs.A high degree of organization with the ability to think ahead and manage multiple priorities to set up the next stage in preparation for the next task ahead of time.Computer literate with the ability to complete basic data entry tasks.Previous experience working within a GMP environment and operate in line with quality systems.Have a strong sense of urgency and ability to communicate to all levels of the business.The benefits: Opportunity to develop and advance within the team in the longer term.Convenient East Auckland Location.Great company culture which values and develops its staff.The hours of work for this position are Monday to Thursday 06.00am to 16.30pm with overtime as required.
