Forklift Driver (Waipapa Pine, Whangarei)

Waipapa Pine, part of Fletcher Wood Products, is a leading forestry company that specializes in the production of high-quality timber products. Due to our successful continued expansion of operations in the North, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Driver to join our fabulous team based at our Whangarei sawmill. Responsibilities: Transport materials to and from designated areas, such as storage areas, production lines, or trucks for shipment. Conduct pre-shift inspections of the forklift and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure proper functioning. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor. Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to ensure timely delivery and movement of materials. Assist with general warehouse duties, such as organizing inventory, picking and packing orders, and maintaining cleanliness. Requirements: Valid forklift operator certification/license. Proven experience as a forklift driver, ideally within the timber industry or a warehouse/manufacturing setting. In-depth knowledge of forklift operations and safety protocols. Ability to operate different types of forklifts. Ability to lift and move heavy objects. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
