As we are 100 percent qualified, we unfortunately don't have space for an unqualified or training teacher, but provisionally registered, or currently finishing third year is OK.We are a small team of 8, teaching between 30-35 tamariki per day aged from 3-6 years, 1:7 ratio, generous non-contact time. We are able to teach you all about the ngahere – our akonga will be your best guides in fact, and you will undergo more formal training – but you need to be a lot. A lot of fun, a lot of love, a lot of hard mahi and work ethic. You need to write beautiful planning and assessment, be a lifelong learner, a kind and whanau centred team member, and someone that we love to enjoy our days alongside.You will have leadership capability, be passionate about our bicultural local curriculum and best outcomes for akonga. You will be reflective, open to assimilating new skills, strategies and ideas to your kete. You will have your own ideas and wonderfulness that you will share with us.You cannot be allergic to rain or cold weather – we are an all-weather programme, and you will love animals and appreciate the value of what our kararehe bring to the tamariki.You will be a part of an expert, experienced, connected, hilarious, warm bunch of kaiako who will in turn care for you, and wrap you up in our whanau.
