We service New Zealand, Australia, and international markets,encompassing all facets of the seed market, from research and developmentthrough to seed supply and on-farm support. About the role:The role of the Forage Agronomist is an importantposition in our product development pipeline. The role is primarily a field basedrole and is responsible for planning, implementation and reporting Stage I andStage II forage trials, statistical analysis and scientific report writing. The role is varied and also involves:assisting with forage breeding programs, farm skills (spraying, drilling etc.)and showcasing our research to internal and external visitors. The position will be based at Ruakura,Hamilton.Skills andattributes:Relevant science-based qualification or one to two years' experience in agronomy or field researchExperience with the use of statistical programs Genstat, RA good understanding of NZ or Australian farming systems and a genuine interest in foragesThe ability to establish and manage field trials and report outcomes in a professional mannerExperience with office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)Presentation skills and ability to communicate with internal and external visitorsDemonstrated team player, happy to help out, ready join in, to work harmoniously and get things done to a high standard.What we can offer you:PGG Wrightson Seeds is committed to creating longlasting, successful careers for their people and invest heavily in theirtraining and development.
