Triple Treasures is a contract manufacturing service of private-label premium natural health products, supplements, honey, cosmetics, dairy products, and other health foods for export purposes. Our processes include formulating, raw material sourcing and supply, blending, encapsulating, pinchpack single-serve packaging, powder filling, bottling, labeling, packaging, and shrink-wrapping.
We have a vacancy for a Senior Food Production Technician to join our Food Packing and Processing team at our factory and dairy plant located in Hornby, Christchurch. This permanent full-time role (minimum 30 hours per week) has working hours between Monday to Friday.
The purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient and safe production of infant formula and other premium products that must meet stringent safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This includes operating and maintaining food production machinery, conducting quality control tests, and adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols.
The role also involves contributing to a culture of excellence that champions customer service, innovation, continuous improvement, and always working to the highest standards. This role is critical in maintaining the reputation and trust of the brand in delivering safe, nutritious products to consumers on behalf of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and setting up materials for sampling and analysis, including labeling and storing specimens to comply with food safety standards.
Collecting raw material, in-process, and finished product samples to analyze strict compliance with infant formula safety, product quality, and nutritional standards.
Maintaining records of quality control findings to ensure accurate traceability and compliance.
Collaborating in the setup, adjustment, calibration, and maintenance of production machinery.
Setting up, operating, and monitoring food production machinery to ensure smooth operation and adherence to production schedules.
Maintaining high hygiene standards and ensuring compliance with food safety protocols throughout all stages of production.
Packing and processing food products according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality in packaging and labeling.
Lifting and handling bulk bags of up to 25kg as part of production and materials handling processes.
Monitoring and controlling quality control and production supplies to ensure availability and proper usage, minimizing waste.
Adhering to health and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for self and team members.
Contributing to team operations by maintaining a clean and organized workspace, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Training and supervising team members on quality control protocols, machine operation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines.
Required Skills and Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or at least a Diploma-level qualification in a relevant field of study.
Reliability and punctuality, with reliable transport to work.
Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Strong work ethic and focus on quality.
Food production and warehouse experience.
Knowledge of food safety practices.
High attention to detail and hygiene.
Physical fitness, including the ability to lift 25kg bulk bags.
