3 Food & Beverage Attendants are required for a very busy restaurant at the stunning Lake Tekapo.
About us:
We are a busy restaurant & bar in Lake Tekapo with stunning lake view. We open for everything from breakfast, coffee, lunch, snacks & drinks through to full dinner service & bespoke functions.
Key tasks and responsibilities of the role:
• Set up and arrange tables,
• Take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff,
• Serve food and beverages,
• Open bottles, pour beverages, and make coffees,
• Greet customers and present them with menus and beverage lists,
• Clear tables and return dishes and cutlery to kitchen
• Remove empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refill and replace glasses,
• Take reservations, greet guests upon their arrival,
• Collect payments for sales and operate cash registers,
• Promote services and products,
• Restock drinks and coffee beans,
• May recommend wines to complement food,
• Report any maintenance issues to the correct people in a timely manner to maintain the state of the restaurant,
• Comply with health and safety regulations,
• Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
• Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the premises,
• Help to ensure the staff work in the manner of a team & keep good relations between the Front of House & Back of House staff.
• Be respectful to all customers & staff members.
• Any other duties the employer may reasonably require.

· Competitive pay rate from $29.66-$30.70;
· The minimum guaranteed hours of work will be 30 hours per week, and we ensure you have great life/work balance.
About you:
The successful candidate must have:
· A NZQF Level 2 or 3 qualification or at least one year of relevant experience as a bar attendant, barista or waiter/waitress if no qualification is available;
· The ability to work till late in the evening;
· Barista skill is an advantage (training is provided),
· A 'can do' attitude, strong attention to details, and the mindset to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment,
· Knowledge of beers, wines (especially local wines) and other alcohol drinks is preferable;
· Knowledge of sanitation regulations;
· Passion for providing exceptional customer service,
· Punctuality, honesty, and sound organisation skills,
· Professional appearance,
· Excellent communication skills,
· The ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
