If you're ready to carve your path in the snow and create slopeside memories, this is your golden ticket to a frosty adventure!About the RoleThe Team Leader supervises our Front of House operations and cafe staff to ensure efficiencies and a consistent, high-quality food and beverage product and customer service experience - which exceeds our guests' expectations.Working with the Head of Department for training your team and supporting them in their role.Having regular check-ins with your team and taking feedback on board.Preparing and serving food and beverages for consumption on the premises.Taking customers' food and beverage orders.Organisational skills.Support the Food & Beverage Head of Department when requested.Liaise with Kitchen Leaders about daily operations, menus, service and assist as required.Working with the purchasing team to ensure a robust stock management process is in place.Working with the team to carry out small and large scale events.Participating in stocktakes and assisting in putting away new stock.Cleaning cafe equipment such as coffee grinders and espresso machines.Operating cash registers, accepting payments and preparing sales invoices.Ability to jump in and assist in any aspects of the department operations when required.Clearing away used dishes and cutlery from tables when customers are finished.About YouAt least three years of experience in a supervisory role within a Hospitality environment.Outstanding customer service and leadership skills.Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume or multi-outlet cafe, restaurant or bar.Solid understanding with Point Of Sale including cashiering & end of day reconciliation.Experience with creating staff rosters to labour budget and managing the operation to meet varying business levels.Awareness of NZ Food safety standards & Food Control Plan requirements.Be committed to creating a Health and Safety Culture.Knowledge of responsible service of alcohol - LCQ and Managers Certificate is desirable.A degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is desirable.Further InformationExpect a reply no later than January 10 2025.The 2025 Winter season will commence early June; however this role will start end of May.This role is based at Coronet Peak or The Remarkables.As Kaitiaki of the mountains we have an enduring commitment to our environment, people, and communities to ensure they benefit from our presence and as proud supporters of Winter Pride we've pledged to continue to provide a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.Uniform for all roles is provided (just bring your own base layers).A few other reasons to join our Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Mt Hutt crew:3 Peak winter season pass (Full Time crew).Discounted day passes at other ski areas.Transport to/from mountains.Fantastic wellbeing support for all staff.Nutritional hot crew meals each day (Discounted).Discounts at many local eateries, bars, breweries and retail outlets.Discounts on mountain.Regularly organised social activities off mountain.Cool recognition programmes with prizes.Earn and learn – free ski lessons (Full Time crew).
