About The Role An exciting opportunity awaits for Full Time Food and Beverage Supervisor at our restaurant.
Ideally, you will have experience in a similar role, a passion for exceeding our diners expectations and great knowledge of food and beverages. We are looking for someone who is passionate and has the enthusiasm that will inspire a team of restaurant and beverage superstars.
This is a hands on role which requires leadership skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure whilst leading a busy restaurant and bar team to ensure exceptional service.
The successful candidate will have experience as a Supervisor or ready to take that next step with three years or more of food and beverage experience. You will be conversant with Sale of Liquor responsibilities. This is a permanent, full time role based at Sudima Christchurch Airport. The pay rate is $27-$28 per hour with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week.
In this role you will: Delegate tasks to restaurant staff and supervise their performance
Maintain a fully-stocked inventory and order food supplies, as needed
Manage dining reservations
Help staff resolve on-the-job challenges
Track daily costs and revenues
Balance the cash register at the end of the shift
Coordinate with suppliers as they deliver food product orders
Ensure client satisfaction and gracefully handle any complaints
Open or close the restaurant (when responsible for the first or last shift)
Report maintenance and training need
2-3 years experience in F&B service
Previous Supervisor experience preferred
NZQF Level 2 or 3 qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 4)
At least one year of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.

Exudes attentive, friendly and professional service
Excellent wine, beer and cocktail knowledge
Highly organised and plans ahead
Can work on a rotating roster 7 days a week
