Purpose As the Food and Beverage Supervisor, you free pour exceptional guest service! You're a natural-born leader, taking charge of day-to-day Food and Beverage café operations, to ensure each service period runs smoothly and hotel processes, stock control, and quality standards are executed like fine art.
Primary Responsibilities Support all aspects of F&B operations and processes to run smoothly.
Set the example for your team, driving exceptional guest service, quality standards, sequence of service and immaculate grooming and presentation.
Ensure guests are personally greeted and seated promptly, and their needs are met (and exceeded) by you or a team member timely and efficiently.
Organise and maintain the booking management system for current and future bookings.
Manage the stock management system according to process.
Ensure all venue opening and closing checklist items are completed accordingly and timely.
Encourage team members to gather guest feedback at every opportunity for continual improvement.
Support in the effective handling of guest complaints, always with a smile, escalating to your Manager as needed.
Manage the Point of Sale system to update items, prices, logins and troubleshoot issues.
Support all aspects of Conferences and Events management.
Keep abreast of the latest menu updates, trends, food & beverage pairings and share knowledge with your team.
Involve in the induction and onboarding of new starters and cross-training/upskilling existing team members.
Drive team engagement, fostering a positive workplace culture.
Drive and deliver best practice throughout the outlet and explore new methods to enhance efficiency.
Maintain open communication with all relevant departments across the hotel.
Keep your Manager informed of any problems and unusual matters.
Ensure cleanliness and tidiness in the F&B outlet.
Complete other reasonable tasks, projects or instructions from your Manager.
Skills, Experience and Requirements Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Food Handlers Certificate.
Strong experience in food & beverage and demonstrated leadership potential.
Expertise in facilitating general food and beverage procedures and processes.
Experience using Point of Sale system and executing sequence of service.
Strong knowledge of food & beverage, coffee, wine and cocktails.
Ability to physically meet the demands for this role including constant standing & walking, frequent lifting and moving of objects up to 20 kgs.
Exceptional grooming and presentation, ensuring your team looks the part too.
Exceptional communication skills; multilingualism is an advantage.
Shift work required on a rotating roster, including late shifts; flexibility is a must.
