You know how to effectively manage people, connect with guests to meet their expectations, drive sales, tackle problems and control costs. While you can think on your feet, you also know that preparation is a direct link to success.Your experience in hospitality, positive energy and passion for good food and drink will help us to deliver an atmosphere which Tauranga locals can't resist, and our regulars will keep returning for.Your ability to plan ahead and multitask will ensure that the team feels calm and confident, and that shifts will run as smoothly as possible.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:You will:be responsible for managing the overall operation of the restaurant (front of house) and operational services of functions. This includes Barista, Bar, cash-up and end of shift duties and taking ownership of the POS technology.ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant and operational services of functions.be in charge of exceptional customer service in the restaurant. You will have a focus on increasing food and beverage sales, while delivering high levels of customer satisfaction for dining and functions, with the aim to retain existing clients while also attracting new customers.ensure the restaurant is running effectively and profitably by managing beverage and wage costs, minimise breakages and beverage waste.manage, lead, train, innovate and mentor the front of house employees always.ensure super effective interdepartmental communication, keeping the kitchen, restaurant, reservations, maintenance, marketing and events team well connected.create shift rosters for the F&B team, ensuring that staffing levels are suitable to deliver effective service and elevate guest experiences.collaborate with Marketing to find market opportunities and implement creative strategies to attract new customers.KEY REQUIREMENTS:Previous experience in a similar industry (hotels and banqueting) desirable.LCQ qualification and holder of a current Manager Certificate – Liquor.First Aid Certificate.Cost control experience.Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and inspire a team.A high level of energy and demonstrated flexibility in Customer Service.Enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly organised.A passion for mixing and serving beverages and a sound wine and food knowledge.Computer literate. Knowledge of POS technology.Ability to work competently under pressure.Reliable & flexible to change.Weekend and evening work required.
