Food and Beverage Duty Manager - Sudima Christchurch CityWe are looking for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and have vast experience in supervising in restaurants.
To be successful in this role you must have the maturity to manage a shift and lead a team by example.Can work on a rotating roster.
Weekend availability required.This full-time permanent role (minimum 32 hours per week) is based at Sudima Christchurch City Hotel - The Lane.Responsibilities | Nga haepapaSupervise day to day operations of food and beverage shiftsConduct effective shift briefings ensuring all colleagues are aware of VIPs, special occasions, daily specials; emphasis on upselling certain products, event scheduleUse a leadership style that creates a positive environment where colleagues are motivated to deliver consistently high standards of service while also having fun on the jobSupervise cash handling and banking proceduresPrepare daily banking, cash flow, and reportsProvide details of any specials and upsell food and beverage options with guestsEnsure any accidents, injuries or near misses are recorded and investigated promptlyKnow the menu options and be able to advise on suitable options for different dietary requirementsPrepare hot and cold beverages including barista and alcoholic beveragesSet up, arrange, clear and wipe down tablesFollow up and resolve any guest complaintsWork in all areas of Food & Beverage including conferencingAssist with the preparation of an outlet for service including cleaning and maintaining glassware, flatware and china for servicePlanning menus in consultation with the Food and Beverage ManagerPlanning and organising special functions in consultation with the Conference CoordinatorArranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budgetMaintaining records of stock levels and financial transactionsEnsuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearanceSelecting, training and supervising the restaurant and bar teamTake reservations, greet guests and assist in taking ordersRequirementsMust hold valid GM License and LCQWork as a team to ensure exceptional service and dining experiencesAbility to remain calm under pressure, willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests make the most of their dayOutstanding communication and customer service skills, with good attention to detailHave the desire to learn and grow your hospitality careerBar and barista experienceFlexibility to work outside normal hours as required (which may include early morning starts, late finishes, weekends and public holidays)NZQF Level 2 or 3 qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) OR at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.BenefitsFree Life Insurance, Digital Will & Best Doctors teleservice after 3 months of employmentWellbeing programme including health insurance discountsExcellent reward & recognition eventsLong service and anniversary gifts and benefitsStaff, family and friends rates within our network of hotelsPaid training and individual Employee Development PlansTraining towards NZQA qualifications and our very own online digital learning platformHind Management is committed to accessibility, should you require assistance or support and are unable to apply online due to an access need, contact our office (+64) 99051727 or email our Talent Acquisition Team at ******.
