Floor Manager - Monday to Friday PM Shift | AucklandSupporting our outbound processing at our Auckland Operations Centre (AOC)A fast-paced environment, make a tangible impact on day-to-day operationsMonday to Friday from 2.00 pm until 10.30 pmDue to growth in the business we are on the hunt for a Floor Manager working the PM shift (Monday to Friday from 2.00 pm to 10.30 pm).As a Floor Manager you will provide support to the Operations Leader in managing the freight processing operations to its optimal efficiency by using the automated sorter.You'll be spending time on the processing floor working with and leading your teams as well as working alongside the Operations Manager, in implementing and managing the agreed operational plan, ensuring productivity and service targets are met.You'll do this through:Leading by example with Safety and Wellbeing; growing a culture that ensures a 'Safety Always' principle in all aspects of day-to-day operations.People leadership functions including rostering, performance management, coaching and development, and co-ordination of training.Lead the processing team on the shift they are responsible for.Ensuring production plans are delivered and meeting the expected productivity and service targets.Be at the heart of our operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe workflow on the floor. You'll have supervisory experience gained from working in the processing/manufacturing and/or logistics environment. You will have a knack for managing people in conjunction with ensuring the smooth production. This is a role for operational folk, who enjoy planning / analytical thinking, along with strong people relationship management skills.Alongside the above, you'll couple this with:Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a logistics or warehouse environment.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.NZ Post is an iconic organisation with a rich history and bright future.
