Fleet Planning and Optimisation Specialist Christchurch/Canterbury Newly created roleWork from either Auckland or ChristchurchDevelop and execute the fleet asset planLead strategic fleet asset projectsIn this new role, you'll report to the Category Manager - Transport and Fleet, acting as a key link between fleet users (from electric and combustion vehicles to forklifts, bikes, and more) across NZ Post. Your focus will be on fleet planning, optimising the fleet, long-term strategies, and strategic project delivery.You'll do this through:Developing, implementing, and managing fleet asset investment/replacement plansOverseeing the fleet CAPEX and OPEX forecasting, planning and alignment processOptimising the fleet lifecycle and supporting fleet disposal as part of the asset replacement planLeading and managing significant capital and operational investment projects and programmes, ensuring the asset lifecycle replacement plan is achievedDriving a consistent approach to fleet asset management across stakeholdersPartnering with teams to align fleet safety and sustainability targetsLeading fleet improvements and optimisation activities from concept through to operational executionYou'll have key reporting responsibilities of the asset replacement plan, forecasted expenditure and delivery of projects to cross-functional senior leaders.As a detail-orientated, analytical and delivery focused self-starter, you'll be passionate about mid-to-long term fleet planning and optimisation, with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and communication.You'll bring strong experience in fleet and asset management, coupled with asset planning, project management and hopefully a Prince2 certification.You'll possess:Strong experience in developing and maintaining asset replacement plans, along with managing significant capital investment projectsProven experience in leading enterprise projects from concept through to deliverySolid understanding of asset management principlesKnowledge of legislation, regulations, practices, and guidelines in relation to fleet assets and asset management and planning, including strong technical understanding of fleet, the industry, and the suppliersYou'll combine that experience with:A highly developed planning, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to think strategicallyThe ability to work on multiple pieces of work consecutivelyA strong solution-focused approachProven ability to develop key relationships both internally and externally at various levels of an organisationExcellent knowledge of project and program planning best practices and approachIt goes without saying but we'll say it anyway, you'll also have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage at all levels, as well as being highly proficient in the MS Office suite.He Aha Te Pai - What you'll love about us!Alongside the opportunity to work with a team passionate about delivering, our permanent employees enjoy a wide variety of benefits including:Free onsite secure parkingAccess to discounted health insurance plans for you and your familySpecial rates on fantastic holiday home accommodation around New ZealandRetail shopping discounts with our partnersAn Employee Assistance programme to support you when you need itHiahia? - Interested?
